PRINCE ADETUNJI OGUNWUSI: A SILENT BUT COLOSSAL REAL ESTATE GO-GETTER!!
Very unassuming, Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi is the elder brother to sthe current Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi. Although his name may not appear on a regular basis on the pages of magazine and newspaper publications, Prince Adetunji without any iota of doubt is one of the colossus of the Nigerian Real Estate Industry. With more than 1,000 housing units constructed in prime real estate locations of Lekki, Ikoyi and Victoria Island, his achievements over the last decade is one that has kept many industry watchers amazed at how he has been able to turn lemon into lemonade. Here is a deeper look into the life of a man that has done so much to reduce the housing deficit in Nigeria.
Prince Adetunji Ogunwusi is the Chairman of PrimewaterView Limited; a property development company that is presently rated among the first five indigenous property development companies in Nigeria. He is a graduate of Agric Economics from the University of Ibadan. He is a former banker who started his career with the then Nigerian Intercontinental Merchant bank in 1991 until 1998 when he left banking. With an abiding capability to adapt to complex organizational issues, while developing realistic business plans and implementing workable strategies, he assumed the position of Deputy Manager/Head of Credit and Marketing with Hillcrest Merchant Bank Limited (Now Intercontinental Bank Plc) in 1995. In 1999, he birthed his brain child Tunji Ogunwusi & Co., a distinguished investment company with a focus on Financial & Management Consulting while still sitting on the board of several companies in the Engineering, Financial Services and Beverages Industries.
Prior to its incorporation in 2005, PrimewaterView Limited operated as an Investment and Real Estate Company. As mentioned earlier, the company’s track record includes the development of various residential/commercial properties in Highbrow areas such as Ikoyi, Victoria Island and Lekki, Lagos Nigeria. Its foray into luxury apartments dates back to 2006 when it developed a block of 19units of 3 bedroom flats and semidetached houses for Exxon Mobil Staff Cooperative society within 12 months at Oniru Estate in Victoria Island Extension and the recently completed PrimewaterView Gardens Phase I (107 units) at Lekki, Lagos.
